One of the cash back applications I always, always talk about in my financial reports is the application known as ShopKick. ShopKick was discovered in 2018 when my crazed cash back application obsession began. This is one of the OGs along with Fetch Rewards, Ibotta, Dosh, and Drop.
When using Shopkick, you can earn “kicks” or in other words points for gift cards that you choose. There are four ways where you earn kicks. You can earn kicks by walking in the store, scanning ShopKick's chosen products, buying certain products and scanning on the receipt, and finally, by using a linked card. Link your card and you kicks for shopping at set stores.
Examples of stores that use ShopKick are CVS Pharmacy, Walgreens, Marshalls, Publix, Carter’s, Winn Dixie, Walmart, OshKosh B’gosh, Whole Foods, T.J. Maxx, Barnes & Noble, AutoZone, O’Reilly Auto Parts, Ulta Beauty, Advance Auto Parts, Aldi, Sam’s Club, Target, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Dollar General, Carter’s, Costco, and Shoe Carnival.
The application’s stores depend on your location. Me living in Florida and Colorado, the stores were different on the application.
While shopping, each store has different categories where you scan and add kicks to your account. For example, Walmart has many areas. You can earn kicks in bundles, beauty and personal care, coffee, tea and beverages, magazines and newspapers, food and beverage, arts and entertainment, healthcare, household essentials, breakfast and snacks, toys and games, home and garden, frozen foods, baby products, electronics, dairy and eggs, wine, beer, and spirits, candy, canned and packaged food, bakery and desserts.
However, you go to a store like Whole Foods or specialty, you could only have one category like for juice or any certain product. It is a gamble like everywhere else but in most cases you get kicks for just walking inside.
If you are not shopping, you are able to earn kicks by watching their discovery videos. The application’s discover videos I have seen range anywhere from one kick to five kicks. Where you can find these videos is under all the sections they have:
• Quick Kicks
• Trending
• Deals
• Tips and Hacks
• Home Decor
• Patio + Garden
• Home
• Kitchen & Dining
• Food and Drink
• Snacks and Treats

• Health & Fitness

• Lifestyle
• Personal Care
• Activities for Kids

If I am trying not to spend money and yet want to up my counts on this application, I watch the videos. This will not get you rich overnight however, it will build over time. The amount of kicks to earn to get gift cards differs on your goals and how much you want to get.
Finally, you can refer friends to sign up for these applications such as Shopkick. I will say though, I have tried to refer friends that do not really take the time with cash back applications. I do not know why. However, my luck has been few and far between. Honestly, no disrespect but when I see my friends throw away receipts my heart just tears. It is like, “You could use that for something!” Or even better, “Give it to me I will use it!” Literally had that instance last week. My head was just shaking inside. My referral code, is KICK273296. This is one of the applications where you can get bare minimum and above that as well.
On ShopKick, you earn gift cards for Target, TJX Enterprises, Walmart, Amazon, Starbucks, GameStop, Lowes, The Home Depot, Best Buy, Ebay, Ultra Beauty, Kohls, Xbox, The Cheesecake Factory, Old Navy, Sheetz, Carter's, Apple, Playstation, Google Play, Sephora, Texas Roadhouse, AMC, Taco Bell, Nordstrom, Barnes and Noble, Michaels, Cinemark, Foot Locker, Cost Plus World Market, The Container Store, PayPal, Uber and UberEats, Panera, Disney, Hotels.com, Outback Steakhouse, Air BNB, Chilis, Buffalo Wild Wings, Red Robin, Wayfair, Carrabba's Italian Grill, Fanatics, H&M, Bass Pro Shops, Instacart, TopGolf, Williams Sonoma, West Elm, Lane Bryant, and Stubhub.
Obviously, the ranges of gift cards vary. It is based on how many kicks you obtain.
When you choose a store you would like to earn kicks for, the amounts of gift cards are displayed. You get to decide to what reward you would like to reap.
Now time to shop for your kicks until they drop!
